Annual TAWOW Welcoming Event
TAWOW is our annual interactive booth fair held specifically to welcome new and continuing First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students at the University of Alberta. The event allows students to learn more about the services and programs available to the at the U of A and within the Edmonton community.

All First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students at the U of A are invited to attend TAWOW 2017! Students will be presented with a TAWOW Passport upon entry into the Education gym, then will need to visit ALL the booths to receive a free U of A back pack, PLUS be entered into a draw
to win one of two $250.00 VISA gift cards, one of two $200.00 gift certificates to Southgate Shopping Centre, or one of four U of A Bookstore gift certificates.

The Aboriginal Student Services Centre (ASSC) invites organizations from the University of Alberta and City of Edmonton to participate in the 7th Annual TAWOW Welcoming Event!
TAWOW is an on-site interactive booth fair for new and continuing First Nations, Métis and Inuit learners that introduces the many programs and services available in our campus and city communities. Through TAWOW, students become well aware of volunteer opportunities, community supports on- and off- campus, internships, future employment opportunities, and awards and scholarships specifically for FNMI post-secondary learners! Past years have seen 200+ students in attendance, and we hope to greet 300+ this year.
TAWOW booth: $300
The registration and payment deadline is Friday, August 25, 2017. We accept cash, cheque, and credit/debit.
For your convenience, the Education Gym will be open from 12:30 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. to allow for set-up. We ask that you are set up on or before 1:45 pm as we will be locking the doors into the gym promptly at 1:45 p.m.
Take down will be at 3:30 p.m.
